Dabble

Dabble by Karen Gadient, 2016

Dabble. Watercolor pencil and water-soluble graphite. An experiment to see if the pencils could work like acrylic if they’re layered enough. Spatter was done by dabbing (to pick up lots of pigment) and then flicking a moist brush on the tip of the watercolor pencil. Pretty much a mess, but a colorful one! Lots of fun to do.

A creative mess is better than idle tidiness. ― Michael J. Fox
