Mixed Media Monday: Festivity

Festivity by Karen Gadient, 2016

Festivity. Gouache, watercolor, and digital mixed media.

Posting a little early this time, while it’s still Christmas-y.
Hope you’re having a happy holiday season!

Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall. ― Larry Wilde, The Merry Book of Christmas

  1. Sorry I’ve been absent from you blog. I’m going to start catching up. This is a is really nice and why I admire your work so much Karen. The use of color and digital media is artistic bordering on the super cute in this one. Happy Holidays.

  2. Gorgeous color saturation–this makes me so happy to look at. Thank you for sharing it with us! πŸ™‚

  3. Would make a great Christmas card this! I love that quote! πŸ™‚ So true, they were in my eyes as a child! We didn’t keep Christmas in my family when I was little, so any lights and trees were just… oh… a divine sight! I’m grateful my parents despite their beliefs allowed me to admire them wherever. I don’t ever put up decorations now, but so was so in love with them as a child and a young adult. Funny how we change! πŸ™‚

  4. Love it… it’s bright.
