Talisman : KarPaiTwenMo 4 Art Marathon #6

Talisman by Karen Gadient, 2016

Talisman. Acrylic, gouache, pastel, and marker on mixed media board.

Just like everyone else, I have to say… if you’re American, please get out and VOTE! For those who already have, feel free to join me for a glass of whisky later; I suspect we’ll need some to get through watching the results come in.

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves. ― Bill Vaughan

  1. Nice one, Karen. Love the textures.

  2. This looks radiant and gorgeous in its vibrant and dynamic portrayal, Karen.

  3. Wonderful design!!β™₯ I’ve been looking at table cloths recently, have found one I like, but most are terribly dated, horrible things, but this pattern I’d love to have this as a table cloth… awesome! Would help if I bought the table first… all at planning stages at the moment! πŸ˜€

    • Aw, thanks! Although I admit to adoring the terribly dated ‘retro’ tablecloth patterns for my own table. XD

      • Well, I’ll admit some of those old designs are nice, but others are not. I like the check design, kind of old tea shop and Miss Marple! πŸ˜€ And anything with embroidered flowers, don’t mind that either. Oh, if only I had the patience and talent to embroider my own table cloth.. I would!!
