Black and White: Substance

Substance by Karen Gadient, 2016

Substance. Ink, charcoal, and digital mixed media.

I’m going to share some black and white artwork during the next few weeks as a bit o’ spookiness for October. Hope you’re having a great start to the month!

Science fiction is no more written for scientists than ghost stories are written for ghosts. ― Brian Aldiss

  1. I look forward to seeing your black and white artwork, so different than your vibrant work!

    • Thank you! I admit, I’ve been inspired by photographers (like you) and how stunning black and white images can be. If folks like it, I might make it a regular feature (I have a lot of ink around here)!

      • I have been really enjoying making black and white images recently! Have you noticed I shoot mostly landscape now and hardly any macro? Going from vibrant macro to black and white landscape is a huge difference!

  2. This is different from what you used posting.

  3. looking forward to more of your black and white art πŸ™‚

  4. Shadowy and slightly suggestive of ghosts, or something hidden, works well this one! πŸ™‚
