Stray Shapes

Stray Shapes by Karen Gadient, 2015

Stray Shapes. Pencil, ink, and digital mixed media.

Created during experiments with discarded scans. I liked the way it looked, so figured I’d share. Hope you’re having a good week so far!

The green brings life to the shapes. I love it! There is a whole lot of action in there. I’m thinking I could hang out in it for awhile.

Love the palette, and your new photo!

  4. Very cool!
The explosion of green is so vibrant in contrast to the grey background, but the grey keeps surprising me with it’s interesting shapes and subtle rhythm.
    Great work Karen!!!

  5. This is very different, I like it

  6. Ooooo … love, LOVE, that!
Crazy about the quote, too. So very true! Just love it!

  7. I really like this one too Karen, the many layers just add to it!

  8. Very clever, and I like the shade of green it’s just perfect to lift the grey tones. It seems nothing should go to waste! πŸ™‚
