Coastal Vista

Coastal Vista by Karen Gadient, 2015

Coastal Vista. For a print and other items, please click the image.

Pastel, ink, pencil, and watercolor. Charcoal paper and watercolor paper combined digitally into one artwork with textural editing to tie it together. Most of this one was done on ‘golden brown’ Strathmore 500 Series Charcoal paper.

Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books. ― John Lubbock

  1. This one is something a little different I think: fascinating technique and eye for composition.

  2. Absolutely love this one. It leaps right out of the screen.

  3. I love it. I can imagine this implemented into Google maps as you cycle through map, satellite and then this would be artistic mode 🙂

  4. Yes, I can see the view. Very beautiful.

  5. Wow, this is beautiful! The color combi and the texture. Love this.
