Watercolor, ink, and digital painting. Lately, I’ve been scanning traditional media artwork and incorporating those into digital work; it’s a habit of many illustrators, but I’ve only started experimenting with it in paintings this year.

In case you’re curious, I use Corel Painter for digital painting. Along with a Wacom tablet, Painter is very similar to the ‘real thing’ and plays very well with scanned real media. I’ve used Corel Painter for most of my work since 2001.

Poetry is a hypodermic injection of passion. It gets under your skin like snake fangs and poisons you into being alive. — Mary Karr
