Underpinnings by Karen Gadient, 2015

Pretty much a doodle gone crazy. Okay, many layers of doodles. Every now and then, I do some ‘art therapy’ to let my mind wander and relax, just for myself and not for printsโ€•this is one of those. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hape a great week!

  1. The thin pink lines reminded me of the Nazca lines ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. I love this! I love how the colors go so well, and I love blue!

  3. I enjoyed being on the receiving end of your art therapy ๐Ÿ˜› Hearing you say you did it “just for myself and not for prints” was very insightful. I always struggle to find the happy middle ground between creating socially valuable things and creating to fulfill my desires.

    • Thanks. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve been trying to do more creative things just for myself, as a form of mediation. It’s enjoyable to (allow yourself to) create without social pressure or deadlines.

  4. Just amazing colourations and abstraction … warm regards Karen

  5. I’m sure this art therapy would sell – loving the colours in this – purple, lilac, blue and pink, always go down well with me. On guess as to what colours I’ll be wearing when I’m old lady! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Most certainly I’ll be wearing those colors in my old age too! David keeps saying he hopes I’ll have a long shock of pure white hair. If so, I’m going to look wild. ๐Ÿ˜€
