Kaleidoscopes 1 by Karen Gadient, 2015

Since I’ve been participating in #KaleidoSaturday for a few weeks now, I figured I’d share some of those kaleidoscopes on my blog. Maybe I’ll post them here occasionally―at least the ones I think turned out best. 🙂

  9. I loved my Kaleidoscope as a child. Even though I had a full description from my ever knowledgeable older brother on how it worked, I still thought it was quite magical – I wish I’d kept it!

I didn’t know anyone did things like that on Twitter, they’re really vibrant. I love yours, especially the lilac one – such a softy! 🙂 Reminds me also of Spirograph. Did you ever have a Spirograph when you were little? I think they still sell a version of it today.

    • I’ve always loved kaleidoscopes. My grandfather crafted some from stained glass… sort-of-spyglass of glass panels with colorful shards trapped inside and maybe a mirror within–not sure how he made it–but when you looked inside, you could turn it and see the patterns. I still have one.

      I had a Spirograph when I was a kid too! 🙂

  10. Stunning dear Karen… I have tried this effect with my Ipad and it is very neat!… Best wishes Aquileana 😀

  11. The one on top is cool.
