  1. I can almost imagine you wrote something in the middle, but I can’t figure it out…

I didn’t, but the pattern certainly makes it seem like I might have. Hadn’t even noticed that myself. πŸ™‚

  2. Cool punk feel to this piece. πŸ™‚

  3. I would definitely hang this on my wall. It’s great!

  4. Very striking, and bold! There’s something about it, makes me think of punk rock in the 80’s, and I don’t mean that in a bad way, it’s very good! Maybe it reminds me of an album cover, something like that. Although I was never a punk (I should have been!) but a cousin of mine was. Siouxsie Sioux (Siouxsie And The Banshees) was often pictured in colours similar to this. She had a bit of a Japanese thing mixed with her punk! I found some photo/art that shows what I mean – interesting website too! http://www.rockarchive.com/siouxsie-and-the-banshees_photo_print_ss001sh.html

Interesting that you would say that, as I was a huge fan of Siouxsie back in the 80s! Not sure what I categorized her as back then (new wave-ish punk, maybe) since she wasn’t the same sort of punk as the Sex Pistols or The Clash, which I also love. But she influenced my style for a time in high school. No doubt she’s somewhere in my art style too. πŸ™‚

Suddenly, I want to dig out my vinyl records. I’ve got a few Siouxsie LPs that might be nice in a frame for my office…

      • Oh, that’s interesting, I wouldn’t have guessed that, but you’re probably right, she has found a way into your art! I loved Siouxsie too, and my cousin was also very into her, she was such an interesting kind of punk – new wave-ish is probably a good way to describe her!

Displaying records on the wall is a lot better idea than getting them out only to find the old record player has seized up with lack of use. My brother and I were going to have a retro record playing evening a few months ago, but it all failed! 😦 I shall have to buy a new one while they are still available – they seem to be very cool at the moment! πŸ˜€

We got a USB turntable a few years ago, determined to transfer some of our rare vinyl to MP3, but still haven’t done much with it. Really, the fun is in actually playing records on a record player! πŸ™‚
