Estuary by Karen Gadient, 2014

Years ago, my parents did paintings on drop ceiling panels—the kind you see in offices. They’d piece the panels together to make one abstract artwork and then frame the whole thing. I decided to try that digitally and here are the results of that experiment! Had a lot of fun doing it and may make others sometime.

Estuary. Created with Corel Painter.

Little drops of water, little grains of sand, make the mighty ocean, and the pleasant land. So the little minutes, humble though they be, make the mighty ages of eternity. — Julia Carney

  3. A painting collage – I love that idea, this is lovely! 🙂 So, when your parents did that art, was it their work or just creative fun?

Their work-related art was of the advertising/journalistic sort and the paintings were for our walls and gifts for friends. 🙂

      • So you take after your parents in the art department?! 🙂 That sounds very interesting, certainly an unusual canvas! It’s lovely to be able to create art for friends, I’ve done that myself a while back – it’s always appreciated. 🙂
