KarPaiTwenMo: Treasures

KarPaiTwenMo: Treasures by Karen Gadient

Treasures – Created with Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop.

The longer you look at an object, the more abstract it becomes, and, ironically, the more real. — Lucian Freud

This was the final painting in my month of artwork. I’ve just returned home from a lovely holiday time with family up north in Minnesota, where we got a dose of freezing temperatures and falling snow. Now I’m back in Arizona and it’s warm enough to open a window and let the cats bask. Me—I’ve brought back a cold/flu virus and have been dragging around all day. At least I wasn’t sick for the trip. Happy wishes to you all for 2014!

To me, the gold bits are something akin to water lilies. Art can be so much fun; everyone sees different things. 🙂

  9. Happy wishes in 2014 Karen. Hope you feel better. Your work here, if any indication of your well-being, shows you are doing quite fine 🙂 Great work. We have a lot in common when it comes to cats and abstract digital art. I have 3 cats.
