KarPaiTwenMo: Turbulence

KarPaiTwenMo: Turbulence by Karen Gadient

Turbulence – Created with Adobe Photoshop. This is the tenth of twenty pieces from my NaNoWriMo-style month-o-artwork. Some of the styles are more traditional and some of them are wholly digital, but it was challenging to create twenty share-worthy designs. Hope they’re bringing a little color to your day!

Painting is just another way of keeping a diary. — Pablo Picasso

  1. Oh, yes. I’m enjoying. I love PS, but find myself using it for the mundane as I try to do too much in too little time. You are reminding me what I should do.

Glad you’re enjoying. I do a lot of mundane work in Photoshop too, but it’s also a great tool for creative relaxation when you have the time.

  2. Epicurme

There is so much depth here. I feel like if I had a telescope, I could just keep going further and further in. Like looking at the universe, backwards.

Thank you! I kind of wish I could animate one of these paintings to give the illusion of movement, but I lack the mad skillz.

  3. Another fantastic image, I can see so many things in this one, to me it looks like a forest scene with a little fairy patting a translucent but colourful bear in the bottom right corner, next to the fairy in the centre I can also see a ”Merlin” type figure with a musical triangle. behind the triangle at first I saw a tree shape, but then noticed it has a fox head at the top! That’s what I can see anyway, I love exploring your creations Karen, can’t wait for more 🙂

  4. Definitely bringing colour to my day, and inspiring me to paint some more art myself! 🙂
So, are you going to print these and have a exhibition of your collection when you’ve done all these? Could be quite fun to do that! 😀

      Glad to hear it!

I’m trying to find a gallery-style site where I can display artwork and also have things printed with dependable quality. Still comparing sites and features, but I do think it would be fun. 🙂

  5. Hi Karen, this is one of your best so far, it’s beautifully constructed. I love the spatial arrangement and distribution of colour.

  7. Is this a recurring event, Karen? I mentioned you in a comment on my blog and realized I knew… nothing… about KarPqaiTwenMo.

    • I have a post ready for later today, actually. I’m doing it again this year. Last year was the first time I tried an art-a-thon. I used to do NaNoWriMo, but switched years after my mother (a painter who lost her sight) passed away.
